Great Western Trail
Great Western Trail is a park located in Lombard, Illinois. The trail is a part of the project named DuPage County Bike and Hike Trail. It's mostly used for hiking, biking, horse riding, running and walking.
The trail is about 10 miles long with an additional 3 miles on one side known as West Branch of the DuPage River Pathway. The trail can be used free of charge by the public every day.
As stated on their official website, GTT is a ten mile long pathway built in 1990 for those who love to ride bikes or just want to get some fresh air. In 2012, they added an additional 3 miles to one side known as West Branch of the DuPage River Pathway, where you can go fishing and take a nice break to enjoy the beauty of nature. There are even canoeing tours available during your free time at Great Western Trail.
It is open every day for biking, hiking, running or just walking. There is no admission fee as stated on their official website and you can stay as long as you want and have the time of your life.
